CCS Scheduler — Student Info
If you choose the same times as many
other students, you MAY NOT GET YOUR CHOICE.
The system cannot put 42 students into 30 seats.
After you input your preferences, you have to
WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT DAY
to check the result (button B2).
Many students want the last slots on the last day.
Your CHANCES ARE LOW for those slots.
If you don't like the preferences scheduler, wait a few days.
It will convert to a different scheduler.
You input a list of your preferred test times.
At midnight, the computer will process your list.
You will get your highest preference consistent with available seats.
When you input your preferences,
you are not in a race with other students.
All times, from 12:01am to 11:59pm, are equivalent.
There is no advantage in being the first student.
On the following day you must log in
to see what happened (menu item B2).
Do not assume that one of your preferences was honored.
You must log in and check.
If none of your preferences was honored, you can try again.
Eventually you will get the old (non-preference) scheduler.
When you input preferences, make a long list.
That will improve your chances, so you don't have to try again.
In fact, if you put all the time slots into your list, you are certain to get one of them.
Put your most-wanted times at the top of the list.
